IWBD Industry Committees
Designing the Boardroom for Women, Together
The IWBD Industry Committees bring together senior leaders from around the world who share a commitment to elevating women into executive and board roles.
These committees are formed by accomplished professionals who contribute their expertise on a voluntary basis, helping shape conversations, insights, and recommendations that strengthen women’s leadership journeys across industries.
Through collaboration and shared knowledge, the committees create a powerful environment where leaders exchange perspectives, explore emerging trends, and contribute to the collective progress of women in leadership.
A Global Community of Senior Leaders
Each committee gathers quarterly, either virtually or in person, often hosted at one of the committee member’s offices to strengthen connection and community.
These gatherings are designed to create meaningful dialogue among experienced leaders while generating insights that support the broader IWBD mission:
growing the number of women in the boardroom.
Commitment
Participating in an IWBD Industry Committee is designed to fit into the schedules of senior leaders.
Time commitment: 1 hour per quarter
In this focused time together, members contribute their expertise, share insights, and participate in discussions that shape industry perspectives on women’s leadership.
What Happens in Committee Sessions
Each gathering serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, strategic dialogue, and forward-looking insights.
Together, committee members:
-
Share best practices and leadership experiences from their industries
-
Explore emerging trends shaping the future of business
-
Discuss how these developments influence women’s leadership trajectories
-
Exchange ideas on how women leaders can strengthen their path toward executive and board-level roles
At the end of each cycle, IWBD compiles these insights into a collective point of view (POV) that contributes to the global conversation on women’s leadership and board readiness.
Our Discussion Framework
Each committee conversation focuses on three key dimensions:
1. Understanding the Trend
What is the emerging development shaping the industry?
2. Impact on Women Leaders
How does this shift influence leadership opportunities and challenges for women?
3. Strategic Positioning
How can women leaders intentionally leverage these trends to strengthen their board readiness, influence, and leadership impact?

IWBD at Saudi Arabia's largest Creative Festival, Athar as the Community Partner
Growing Presence & Boardroom Potential
We’re excited to announce that IWBD is an official Community Partner at the Athar Festival 2025 in Riyadh, took place October 21–22. As part of your IWBD membership, we offered exclusive ticket access to two powerful days of leadership activations, networking, and insight — all designed to help you strengthen your executive presence and visibility.
On October 21, we ran a session at the Community Stage for “Authentically Yours”, a personal branding masterclass led by IWBD Chairwoman Ebru Tuygun, featuring a fireside chat with Nazlı Berberoglu, CEO of The Coca-Cola Company (UAE, Oman, Bahrain & Qatar). The session offered hands-on tools to define your personal brand, expand your influence, and lead with authenticity. On October 22, Ebru moderated a strategic CEO panel, “The Business of Creativity”, featuring top regional leaders from Coca-Cola, Unilever, VML, and Impact BBDO. In addition, we presented the "Creative Leader of the Year" Award brought by IWBD. Our focus was clear — to inspire more women to step forward with confidence, visibility and influence.
Because when women master their executive presence, understand the business behind creativity, and are recognized for their impact, they move closer to the boardroom — where leadership decisions are made, and where change truly begins.
As a bonus, IWBD members were also invited to a special IWBD x Snapchat event at Snapchat’s Riyadh office on October 21 — part of our GCC Inspiration Series — focused on growing your profile for board leadership.
